Wow. A great looking conversion kit. Let me pass on this info to a friend who is planning on a cross country bike trip. Can I check this out in your store?

Reason Number One:
The cost for the FreeRadical kit: $239.00
The cost of the LongTail kit: $250.00
Subtotal for parts (not including shipping): $489.00
Cost of installation: ???
Place you take it when/if something goes wrong: ???

We bring the kit to LA, do the install properly, and stand behind our work. You have someone to bring it to locally if something goes wrong. Is this the right option for everyone? Probably not. Might it be the right option for you? Maybe. We hope so. Do your research and if you've got any questions, please feel free to drop us an email at info@flyingpigeon-la.com

That is a great idea Sioxgeonz!

Our hope with this line of bikes is to offer a sub-$1,000 XtraCycle that can do some heavy work. However, what you have suggested might not add too much cost to the bike. Thanks again for the idea! We'll have to do our homework on the practicality and cost of putting everything together, but it just might work.

Now, if the "donor frame" could have some of those Dutch features... I've got (thanks to a grad student) a Gazelle and an Xtracycle. Chain guard and built-in lock and lights on the frame... that would be bliss. (I've got the generator light hub now.)
