Come join us on a fun, slow-paced, ride at 3 p.m. this Saturday, June 5, 2010 to the Eagle Rock Brewery.
Meet at the Flying Pigeon LA bike shop at 3 p.m. The shop is located at 3404 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90065.
The ride leaves at 3:15 p.m. The ride is 6-miles long, round trip.
We will stop at the Super A Market in Cypress Park along the way to get some snacks.
The Eagle Rock Brewery is offering up $5 pints of their various locally crafted beers. They’ve also been busy booking an evening visit by one of LA’s several gourmet food trucks (though we will likely be a little too early for the truck on our ride).
Age 21 and older only allowed into the brewery. Bicycles will be available for rent, at our Get Sum Dim Sum Ride rates – $10 per bike, but availability is pretty limited on these so RSVP soon.
Getting to Flying Pigeon LA by Metro – we’re served by the 81 and 83 lines and are just blocks away from the Heritage Square Gold Line Station.
By car, 110 Freeway, exit Avenue 43, left on Figueroa St., park at Avenue 37 and N. Figueroa St.

i had an absolutely horrible experience this weekend with this bike shop. i just wanted to get a new bike that was delivered 90% set up tweaked and made road worthy because i didn’t have the tools to do it myself and after two days of early store closures that weren’t publicized and then promises of finish times that weren’t met. i was asked to take it for test ride late sunday afternoon when it was finally ‘ready’. the handlebars were crooked to the left and it was wobbly. ‘joe’ had me hold the bike while he ‘fixed’ the handlebars and he overcompensated and then they were crooked to the right. when i then asked if all he’d done was put air in the tires he said ‘yeh well it wasn’t $30 dollars worth of work (which by the way was $10 more than the website stated for this kind of job) and i should just take it off his hands but not before paying what i thought it was worth. he walked away to help other customers and left me stranded to fend for myself. like a fool i left $20 dollars on the counter and left feeling completely ripped off and taken advantage of. the worst customer service ever. no not worst, it was non existant. i will not only never return but i will copy this review anywhere and everywhere i can to let people know that apparently if you’re not in the inner circle of bike nerds that are the core of this shop you are treated as if you are a worthless nobody. thanks for nothing flying pigeon. may the pigeon of good customer service fly up your ass and teach you a thing or two.

It is really easy to fire off an electronic message in anger. Instead of replying in kind, I’ll offer a sincere apology and an offer to fully refund the $20 you paid us for the work we did on your bike.
I’d also like to state that our store has NEVER closed early. NEVER. We’re always late: late to work and late coming home!
Additionally, we were very short staffed this past weekend. Josef was the only person on hand to service bikes, answer the phone, handle sales questions, and work the cash register.
We’re very sorry you feel mistreated! Our small shop relies on providing the customer service that most corporate and large chain bikes shops don’t provide. You refund is waiting, and if you think your bike needs some additional work on it, we’ll take care of it free of charge.
