Our Winter Import from South of the Border: Cristobal and Co. Panniers

It is common in supermarkets these days to see all sorts of summer-time fruit in the produce aisles hailing from points south of the United States-Mexico border. With summer fruit in winter time as a backdrop, we ordered some handmade Mexican bicycle pannier bags from Cristobal and Co. – and wow, are they nice!

These bags retail for $250/ea. The detachable side pocket on the outside of the bags is included with the main bag itself. This side pocket can be attached to either side of the pannier. The set shown in the video above are done in dark chocolate. Cristobal and Co. also produce a burnt orange bag. The bags fit a 15″ laptop quite well, with lots of room for papers, clothes, bike locks, and whatever else you may need to carry along.

These are perfect for the discerning city commuter and the light touring cyclist. Dark Chocolate available in-store, Burnt Orange bags available via special order only (one week).

I love these bags — do you have one available in the burnt orange? And how would I order it from you? I didn’t see it in your shopping section online.

    Thanks,
    Mary
