Eric Garcetti is a Hollywood sellout & Spring St. bike lanes told me so

Behold Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles after Mayor Villaraigosa decided to help Los Angeles become a progressive, environmentally sustainable, financially strong, city (for once in it’s existence) by having Spring Street turn into a showpiece of the legal limits of bike projects in Los Angeles:

Behold Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles after Mayor Eric Garcetti decided that the votes and contributions of downtown interests and bike riders count for sh^^ compared to the big money donations from the production companies that like DTLA cheap, ugly, and a stand-in for post-industrial urban decay:

Distinctive green paint? Gone. White cross-hatched buffer? Gone. Symbol of a change for the better in DTLA that had near unanimous support from neighborhood councils & business interests alike? Gone.

What is there now? A paean to the Hollywood cargo cult, complete with tax subsidies at the ready for a business that routinely deludes and psychologically enslaves us to a consumptive and bankrupt corporate controlled way of life. I am sure it had nothing to do with their ability to buy votes with advertising and air time during elections or pay for mailers and robo-calls on Garcetti’s behalf.

Now if that isn’t a symbol of the type of Manchurian candidate, back-stabbing, flip-flopping, jerk Eric Garcetti turned out to be once elected I don’t know what is. Get bent, Garcetti. What is your problem man?

I can’t believe I talked people into voting for you! We would have been better off with Kevin James! At least we knew he was a smog-loving 20th century car driving man. And so handsome as well!

Wow, no contrast with the pavement at all. Even the white-bordered lanes (without any green) are better than that travesty.
