Our neighbors at the Bike Oven recently handed us part of a stack of “Momentum” magazines that arrived from Canada free of charge. After thumbing through a copy of Momentum Magazine, my jaw went slack and droll came out of the side of my mouth.
Shimano bought a two-page ad for their Alfine and Nexus hubs. Pashley had a full page ad. All of the companies I’ve been scoping out online, and pining over, advertise in the back and the articles were about bike weddings and the ins and outs of the bike scene in Boston!
I kept that first copy (who’d want one with a drool spot anyway?), but the rest are available, free of charge, on the small shelf underneath our tea pot in the shop. The next time you visit the Flying Pigeon LA bike shop, at 3404 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90065, pick up a free copy!
