SOMA Torpedo lights up Flying Pigeon LA

IMAG0152.jpg

We run a shop built on European city and cargo bicycles, so it makes sense that people come to us for all those great European bike parts and accessories that nobody else carries.

Add to that list of stuff we carry the awesome SOMA Torpedo headlamp.

We ordered a bunch of these after fielding dozens of requests for a European-style retro headlamp. These are very well made, they look great, and (at the time of this writing) retail for $40.

I was going to ask if it was an LED, but I found the website:

“Uses a 1-watt LED with a light auto-sense feature, turning the light on once it becomes dark. Includes 2 AA batteries. Includes hardware to install on bars or forks. Light housing is chrome-colored plastic.”

Do you know if it can be set in “always on” or “off” mode, besides “sensor”?

Shame about the chrome-colored plastic (steel or aluminum would only be a couple dollars more), but otherwise it looks great, and your price is better than SOMA’s website!

These have two modes: “Sensor” and “Off”. They look flawless, and they work well. These are a good budge alternative to the dynamo powered lights we sell from Busch and Muller and AXA.

How do you put it into sensor mode? Seems like it only has an on and an off. No in between.

We sell lights from Holland that don’t have a sensor mode. Are you sure you have the Soma light?
