Celebrate Labor Day with the Flying Pigeon Crew when we kick off the Get Sum Dim Sum Ride #4 this Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
In China we celebrate Labor Day with the rest of the world on May 1st, but since we ARE in the Great Capitalist State it’s time to kick off a day of celebrating the great workers of the world with some delicious Dim Sum!
Meet us at our shop, located at 3404 N. Figueroa, Los Angeles, CA 90042 (adjacent to the Highland Park Gold Line stop on the Metro) at 10 a.m. for a quick bike safety check. The ride kicks off at about 10:30 a.m.
If you don’t have a bike, we’ll let you use one of ours (free of charge).
Make sure to bring some cash to pay for the dim sum ($15 ought to do it) and look forward to some good times with some good food. Buy a bike and your brunch is on us!
We think this may be the largest group we’ve gathered so far and to help us limit the time waiting at the restaurant please leave a note for us below if you plan to come so we can give a heads up to the folks at Empress Pavilion in Chinatown.
If you want to do some logistic planning with other bike riders, you can do so below in our comments section, or you can head on over to the Midnight Ridazz forum post for this ride.

This sounds like so much fun! Cant wait!
i’m going to try to bring two out-0f-towners without bikes!
Marc & Julie will be joining the ride! We both need bikes! Look forward to it!
I’m planning on coming on the bike ride with two other friends. We’ll also need to borrow bikes.
thanks!
Folks, this response is awesome and we can’t wait to see you all tomorrow.
At this point we may be out of available loaner bikes and if we have extra people that need bikes we can hop on the train to Chinatown.
Of course, we’ll do our best to get you on a Flying Pigeon!
Everyone who replied above we’ve got a reserved bike(s) for.
See you tomorrow,
adam
Thank you everyone for coming out on our largest ride to date.
We had 16 very full riders yesterday as we came back to the Bird’s Nest (our shop) on the Metro Gold Line after a delicious feast at Empress Pavilion (www.empresspavilion.com)
The restaurant was kind enough to save us a large table and we were seated almost immediately.
See you next week for Dim Sum ride #5
