Get Sum Dim Sum Ride #4 – Report!

This past Get Sum Dim Sum Ride was packed – all of our loaner bikes were in use, and we had to pull a road bike into the mix to accommodate everyone who needed a bike to ride to Empress Pavillion in Chinatown.

Aside from an awesome sleepy feeling from eating too much dim sum, this ride produced an awesome write-up and a few photos posted online – sweet!

Over at sunny days a la mode,we got a pretty awesome ride report and review:

“The Dim Sum bike ride was a really fun way to explore the city by bike and by train (in this city, both are novelties in themselves) and as always, a good excuse to eat yummy food.”

You can read the full report, “Flying Pigeon, Crouching Dim Sum: Flying Pigeon’s Dim Sum Bike Ride” and check out the photos of an empty Gold Line train stuffed with our bicycles. Don’t hate – we love to ride bikes but, dude, it’s uphill to Highland Park (and we’re right next to the Gold Line’s Highland Park station). And it was the day before labor day so … something to do with labor?

Anyway, there are a few Flickr photos up about the ride, posted by marc0047. So go ahead, check out marc0047’s Get Sum Dim Sum Ride #4 photos.

We’re firing up for a very full calendar in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! We do our Get Sum Dim Sum rides every Sunday morning. Meet at our shop located at 3404 N. Figueroa St. Los Angeles, CA 90042 at 10 a.m., we ride at 10:30 a.m. to get some dim sum. No bike? Drop us a line to reserve one of our loaner bikes! Bring some money to pay for the dim sum – or better yet, buy one of our bikes and we’ll cover the meal.
