We’re Open For Business!

Chilling at the Flying Pigeon LA hhouse-warming party.

We’re home! We held a little house-warming party this past Saturday, April 4, 2009 (see our Flickr set “Re-Opening Party” for a few more pictures).

We got a visit from one of the Feel My Legs I’m A Racer organizers (from BikeSwarm!), vegan extraordinaire, and general badass on a bike, Matt. He has a blog, no whip, that documents his epic journey to the Flying Pigeon shop via some insane trails in L.A.

Rick Rise, from Bicycle Fixation stopped in to show off his amazing knickers (we’re gonna get some of these in our store soon!), tell some good stories, and generally hang out and be a ne’er do well with the rest of us. He posted an neat photo essay about his visit, “Flying Pigeons Land in Los Angeles“.

There is still a lot of work left to be done to make our new shop look and feel right, but we’re open for business! If you’d like to stop by the new shop, our hours are:

Monday through Friday: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
CLOSED TUESDAY
Sat. and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If we’re late, or you’re lost, or you have a question you are dying to ask us and we’re not at the shop please call us at 213-909-8986. Our business phone is mobile, so it’s always attached to either Adam or Josef.

I’m the guy who had the 26″ Light Roadster (it went to an appreciative fellow I might add, when he bought it he said, “This is exactly what I was looking for.” and even offered me $20 extra for some reason. I didn’t take it though.)

Anyway, the grand re-opening or whatever it was seems like it was fun. I wish I could have been there, we (m’lady and our tiny lady, our daughter) were trying to come up with some last minute travel plans but we couldn’t do it. Some day we’re going to fly down to LA to check it out and we’ll probably stop in, maybe go on a dim sum ride or something if that’s cool.

I’ve been checking the FedEx tracking obsessively, I’ve wanted a PA-02 for over a year or so. I have absolutely no patience. Thanks for your help, ideas, and suggestions. It was a pleasure to do business with you.

You guys moved? And it’s closer to the Bike Oven? That’s awesome! Didn’t find out until I read Bicycle Fixation’s blog. I’ll be sure to come by soon to check it out when I’m out at the Oven.
