Get Sum Dim Sum* Ride for August 2009

*ok, technically this is not Dim Sum!

Join Flying Pigeon LA as we descend upon the world famous San Antonio Winery near Downtown Los Angeles this coming Sunday, August 16th.

As always our ride will leave from the shop at 10:30 AM and take a leisurely path to the winery where we will enjoy a delicious Sunday brunch with everything on offer from a fantastic veggie omelet to steak and eggs.  Want a little juice to help start the day right?  In addition to a large selection of wines and soda’s the good folks at S.A.W. stock a few different bottles of Chimay Ale for our pleasure.

When we last visited the winery on our bikes late last year, they really rolled out the red carpet for us with a reserved table near the old wine casks, led us on a wonderful tour of the aging and bottling plant and sent us on our way to the tasting room where Santo told us many a tall tale while pouring sample after sample our way.

Loaded up with several jugs of wine we cruised back to the shop full of good food, good wine and enjoying the fine company of people from throughout Los Angeles.  Since then, I’ve been trying to get back there as a group and this month is it!

As always, the deal is simple, bring a bike and join us for free.  you only pay for lunch.  Don’t have a bike (or can’t get it to our shop)?  You can rent a bicycle from us for $10.  RSVP’s required for rental bikes as we have a limited fleet.  Our rides operate at a slow pace, children are welcome but you must bring helmets for them.
