I just put the finishing touches on a custom built Flying Pigeon Racer, and I wanted to share my work with the world.
This bike has a couple of nice flourishes and, for the price, rides like a bowling ball on a freshly waxed lane – smooth, graceful, and quick as hell.
The base cost of a single speed (coaster brake) Flying Pigeon Racer is $479. The extra touches that made this bike: upright Velo Orange North Road handlebars; Sturmey Archer AW-3 rear hub; Wald basket #137 in black; and (not pictured) a Velo Orange Mod-5, espresso brown, sprung leather saddle.
