Some dim sum classics from a ride we did in September of 2008.
Sorry for the late notice this month on our blog! We posted an event through Facebook and Twitter a couple of days ago linking to a calendar posting for the April 18, 2010 Get Sum Dim Sum ride on experiencela.com We just never got around to posting this information on our site!
The Get Sum Dim Sum Ride is taking place this Sunday, April 18, 2010. Meet at the Flying Pigeon LA bike shop at 10 a.m. The Flying Pigeon LA bike shop is located at 3404 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90065.
The ride leaves the shop at 10:30 a.m.
This month we’ll be heading into Los Angeles’ Chinatown to eat at Empress Pavillion. Along the way, we’re going to pop in to the world’s first Yum Yum Donuts. The “Yum Yum Dim Sum Ride” was too good of a title to pass up.
Expect brunch to cost $15 – the cost will be shared at your table.
We strive to make our rides family friendly. Bring your own bike (and helmets for the kids, it’s the law!) for a leisurely community ride with good eats at the end. Getting to Flying Pigeon LA by Metro: we’re served by the 81 and 83 bus lines. The shop is just blocks away from the Heritage Square Gold Line Station.
By car, 110 Freeway, exit Avenue 43, left on Figueroa St., park at Avenue 37 and N. Figueroa St.
