We'll bring along our Nihola Family bikes, and other bikes, to Bike Week Pasadena's Families and Bicycles Day

This Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm the Flying Pigeon LA bike shop will exhibit our wares on “Families and Bikes Day” at Central Park in Pasadena.

This free, fun, and informational day is centered around the bicycle. Pasadena’s Central Park provides the perfect backdrop for this memorable event fostering the growing relationship between the bicycle and the family.

The Flying Pigeon LA shop is going to bring a bunch of baby carrying bikes and accessories as well as one or two of our fabulous city bikes. We carry Nihola Family cargo tricycles, Bobike and Yepp baby seats, and an assortment of other cargo bikes and accessories from a variety of manufacturers (Yuba Mundo, Batavus, Gazelle, Flying Pigeon, and others).

Getting to Central Park in Pasadena by Metro (the Del Mar Gold Line station is right across the street from the park) is cheap and easy. The park is located adjacent the Old Town Pasadena area between Raymond an Fair Oaks.

Bike Week Pasadena is a citywide effort to highlight the benefits of bicycling. Riding a bicycle is an easy way to exercise, reduce traffic congestion, minimize air pollution, cut fuel costs — and a wonderful way to meet your neighbors. This weeklong salute is presented by city of Pasadena Department of Transportation, and Cyclists Inciting Change through Live Exchange (C.I.C.L.E.).
