Flying Pigeon LA inventory on April 5, 2012

It has been a month long video drought here at the shop, and I know the internets is hungry for more footage of me walking around this shop talking to myself.

Boy am I excited about this one: we built up three different Flying Pigeon Racer bikes this week! One is a balloon tire track bike, one is a Velosteel coaster brake, and the last in a Sturmey-Archer KB2 build. All of them are under $500 (Yes, I am still trying to find calculate the pricing! Finding invoices is hard!).

We also just received a Brompton demo bike with the new H-bar handlebars. These give a more upright riding position than the M-bar (we have an M-bar you can test ride and compare it with).

There is a Montego Urban Ladies 3-speed bike which we have been authorized to deeply discount, down from $749 all the way to $499. This is the real deal: a Dutch bike with all the fixings, for a price lower than Dutch bike knock offs flooding the market right now. We have a bunch of these in our warehouse, but my guess is they won’t last long.

There is a brief view of our Nutcase, Yakkay, and Bern helmet selection; our new smartphone caddy selection (AWESOME! Top cap mounts, handlebar mounts, and compatible with loads of smart phones); and some of our grips on display from Cardiff, Brooks, Ergon, XLC, and reproduction Hunt and Wilde stuff from China.

A reminder: bring in your bike to get tuned up before the April 15, 2012 CicLAvia! We are offering 10% discounts on tune-ups for people who are members of one of any number of non-profits and public radio stations. Don’t be that guy – here on Saturday night, 10 minutes after we close, asking us to overhaul your bike for the CicLAvia the next morning! Drop ‘er off this week or next, and you’ll have no worries come CicLAvia.
