We are getting our act together this year for CicLAvia, and along with a ride to the start of the event, we have a big bunch of single speed beach cruisers available for rent for the CicLAvia taking place this coming Sunday, April 10, 2011.
The bikes vary from 24″ girls to 26″ mens’ single speed beach cruisers in solid, bold, colors. We can fit riders from 4’6″ to 6’3″.

How the bike rental works:
- $30 per rental bike, paid in advance.
- Want to buy a bike instead? We are selling single speed beach cruisers for $120, even (no tax!), until closing on Sunday, April 10, 2011.
- Contact us at info@flyingpigeon-la.com or call 213-909-8986. We’ll set up a reservation for your bike(s), accept payment for the sale or rental of the bike(s).
- Pick up your bike(s) on Saturday, April 9, 2011 between 10am and 6pm or on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 8am to 9:30am.
- Bring back your rental bike on Sunday, April 10, 2011 between 3pm and 6pm.
We carry a full line of Yepp and Bobike child carriers, as well as some awesome cargo and kids hauling bikes perfect for the CicLAvia. These items are not for rent, but are for sale. No tandems, baby carriers, or multi-gear bikes available for rent (we’ll have these for the CicLAvia in June).
Modified hours for Sunday, April 10, 2011 to allow our hard-working staff to ride the CicLAvia. Our hours on Sunday will be:
8am to 9:30am – OPEN
9:30am to 3pm – Shop ride to CicLAvia (i.e. CLOSED)
3pm to 6pm – OPEN

The shop is ridiculously convenient to the Heritage Square station for the Metro’s Gold Line. You can park your car at the station for free, pick up a bike from us, and ride to the CicLAvia with the shop ride, or take the train into Downtown or East LA and ride on your own. In either case, it is easy, traffic free, and cheap to use the Metro, Flying Pigeon LA bikes, and enjoy the CicLAvia this coming Sunday, April 10, 2011.

You guys should really rent horses for Ciclavia!!!!!!!
What time will you be leaving your shop for the Cyclovia ride on 4/15? I am trying to organize some charter school students to meet at your shop, safety in numbers, and need to give them a firm time frame.
