Oct. 2nd – Meet David Byrne, bring your bike and sing Burning Down the House with us

Just passing along an interesting sounding lecture coming up in a few weeks at the Japanese American National Museum. We may not have enough money to pay for this but if sales are good this weekend we might be able to get a ticket or two and ride from the Birds’ Nest to downtown and take advantage of the valet parking for bicycles.

Get Sum Craftsman Architecture Ride – October 17th

Join FOGH board member and local bicycle shop owner, Adam Bray-Ali for this special Craftsman Weekend Bicycle tour from the Gamble House, through the Arroyo Terrace neighborhood and to the Hillcrest area of Pasadena before enjoying a delicious California style dinner at the Raymond Restaurant in South Pasadena. After dinner we will ride bake through the Oaklawn areas and back to the Gamble House.

Wow, Great coverage of the Flying Pigeon and Bike Oven shops today

The Los Angeles Times Business section has a small story today about our shop and the neighboring Bike Oven and how we co-exist and help eachother thrive. Nathan Olivarez-Giles, a writer for the paper, breaks down some of the interesting contrasts in business styles and they came along for some Dim Sum as well on our Hottest Ride Of The Year (HROTY) in July.
