Decked out for the future (and the present): a PA-02 at the "From Here to There" show at SiteLA

SiteLA, a corporate sponsored creative space in Silver Lake, organized a two week long exhibition of concepts (and in the Flying Pigeon’s case – tangible assets) that demonstrate a vision for the future of human locomotion. The show, “From Here to There” runs from August 22, 2008 to September 3, 2008.

Flying Pigeon LA kicked in two of our bicycles, a PA-02 and a PB-13, to serve as “Bicycles of the Future”. The PA-02 was decked out with some super sweet, durable, and attractive Clarjis panniers (from Holland) and a bamboo trailer put together by DJ Chicken Leather and Blackwoman Sidekick. I think the DJ’s speaker adds a certain sumpin’ sumpin’ to the bike. After all, what kind of future would it be without music?

The PB-13 had an out-of -this-world “weather proof” rain shield built over it. After all, what would the future be like without clear vinyl enclosures?

You can see more photos of the bikes, and the event, by checking out the flickr photoset I created for the HEYA Project at SiteLA.
