Brewery Ride on Saturday, February 5, 2011

This image was apporpriated from an interesting Malaysian beer site, BEERBEER.

Join us on the first Brewery Ride of the Chinese New Year this Saturday, February 5, 2011!

Meet at the Flying Pigeon bike shop (located at 3404 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90065) at 3pm on Saturday, February 5, 2011. The ride leaves at 3:20pm and heads 3 1/3 miles away to the Eagle Rock Brewery (located at 3056 Roswell St., Los Angeles, CA 90065).

The pace is a grueling 10 to 12 miles per hour, the elevation change a treacherous 44 ft. You will want to pack an Arctic-ready parka, and probably bring along a couple of sled dogs, as temperatures could dip down to 74F and sunny by the time we leave the shop. If things get desperate, we can feed each other to the dogs as they drag us to safety.

Bring a functioning bike (loaner bikes for $10 – to upstanding citizens only!), and some U.S. dollars to pay for a glass or two of fine beer and perhaps some snacks. 21 and over only to get into the brewery.

Josef from the Flying Pigeon bike shop will leave the brewery at around 5:30pm to go back to help close the place up for the day. You are welcome to join him on the return trip, especially if you are borrowing one of our bikes, but if the spirit of the Eagle Rock Brewery has trapped you in its clutches – you are welcome to stay at the brewery until the staff politely ask you to leave.
